Australia goes down under, Bolt races past Twilight and Four Christmases rises to the top on Thanksgiving weekend.

Well, you might say that Christmas comes early to the Reject Report, because this Thanksgiving we have three new movies rolling out.

As expected, the story of the weekend was the crazed-teenage-girl reaction to Twilight, which defied predictions and rolled over the competition to the tune of $70.6 million dollars.

You’re traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of money; a journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination and how many movie tickets are sold. Your next stop, the Reject Zone.

How big was this Bond? Well, it was only the biggest domestic opening for an 007 movie in history. Quantum of Solace brought in $70 million in 3,451 theaters.

This week there’s only one new movie rolling out and it’s featuring “Bond, James Bond.” Wait a minute — they say Daniel Craig doesn’t say that line in Quantum of Solace, and they got rid of the “shaken not stirred” line, too.

Nice Clean Movie Month continues at the Reject Report. Yes, for the umpteenth week in a row the weekend box office title belongs to yet another sweet family movie. Big surprise.

It’s time to forget about politics for awhile, and spend the weekend doing what Americans have been doing all fall — attend yet another nice, clean movie.

I am sure the news that High School Musical 3: Senior Year finished in first place is no surprise to any of you.

Welcome to what is sure to be another depressing week of box office predictions here at the Reject Report. Depressing because, well, we all know who’s going to win. Even if we all go see Saw V several times in a row, we won’t be able to halt the inevitable.

Well, it was a fairly predictable weekend at the theaters for a change, as I finally got a few of my predictions sort-of right.

Once again we have another weekend chock full of movies, with four new wide releases coming up once again. Who can afford to go see all these movies? Especially in this lousy economy?

It turned out to be a brutal weekend for new releases — and for everyone at the box office, generally. Everyone, that is, except Beverly Hills Chihuahua.

The Reject Report Express continues its journey through 2008!! I gotta say, the movies have been rolling out fast and furious this fall — one movie after another.

It was a crowded weekend at the theaters and the box office reflected it with one big winner and an awful lot of losers.

“Megan Fox, Megan Fox, Megan Fox!!” What better way to drum up interest in this week’s edition of the Reject Report than to do some major name-dropping of one of the actresses in one of this week’s movies, How To Lose Friends and Alienate People.

The top two spots at the box office played out exactly as expected: the surprises came in the rest of the Top Ten this weekend!

This certainly has been a month to forget at the cash registers, but things may change this weekend. A number of new movies are rolling out and at least three of them will be going wide right across North America.
