Video: Batman’s Gonna Get Shot in the Face

This is a video that was passed on from my friend Aaron. He knows an artist named Jacob Drake who has created some really funny short videos. This is by far my favorite, even though I love Batman. I do consider Batman my tie for favorite comic character, tied with Wolverine. So it is really hard to watch this video without getting a little angry, but even harder to watch it and not laugh.
The basic idea is that all the other superheroes don’t particularly like Batman. Superman harps on him because he is too slow getting dressed. Wonder-Woman doesn’t like having to fly Batman around places all the time. The Flash doesn’t like Batman’s constant one liners. Basically, the Justice League thinks that Batman’s human body is just a huge inconvenience. Like the Flash says in the video, “When we, as a group, have got to go out of our way to find criminals that don’t carry no f*cking guns, so the motherf*cker doesn’t get shot, at that point it becomes a problem. Batman, if your’e watching, someone is gonna shoot you in the g*d-damn face.”
Make sure to watch through the credits. It shows Superman and The Hulk picking teams for softball.

Hilarious. Has the feel of what the Incredibles would have been like if it was about DC’s finest.
It’s always funny to really break down what superheroes are about. When you think about it Batman really is just a guy in a costume. But maybe that is what makes us relate to him. He’s not damn near invulnerable like Superman. He is a guy with issues that wants to make the world a better place. Like a more bad ass Gandhi…with a Bat-a-rang.

watched this video for the 7th time in a row. Feel a bit sad for Batman..no superpowers and all. Although, all the other superheroes have their respective weaknesses, if the villians pull out those weaknesses on them, their done. Batman, on the other hand, he’s got his skills and knowledge to rely on.
