The Dark Knight

After the debacle that was Speed Racer’s opening weekend, it appears that Warner Brothers may be ready to kick marketing for The Dark Knight into high gear. Either that, or it is complete coincidence that two brand new, intense TV spots for the film have emerged. Coincidence or not, it is undeniable at this point that The Dark Knight is going to become Warners’ great white hope for Summer 2008. While they will still collect the checks on Sex and the City, Get Smart and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, there was no denying that their one-two punch was supposed to be Speed Racer and The Dark Knight. Now, only The Dark Knight stands a chance at major box office success. My best guess at this point is that it will not be a disappointment, either to fans or WB investors.

But enough business talk, lets take a look at these two new TV spots:

The Dark Knight hits theaters on July 18th.

Sound Off: What do you think of these two new TV spots?
