Michael Phelps may currently be burning up your TV screen, but the preview for the new season of NBC’s “Heroes” looks golden in its’ own right.

“Heroes” is definitely one of the most compelling stories on television, and a sneak peek at the upcoming season, subtitled “Villains”, has hit the web. We’ve gathered it up and brought it to you below.

Is it me or is Claire going a little Dark Phoenix on us? Let’s hope they do it better than Brett Ratner’s X-Men: The Last Stand. I have to admit that the storyline of Level 5 really interests me, as it definitely parallels the stories of the Arkham Ayslum. Are the writers ripping off DC and Marvel? Who knows, but they always say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so maybe it’s wise to borrow from the best.

What do you think of the Heroes:Villains preview? What hero are you looking forward to seeing most?

Heroes season 2 sucked. Big time. I wont be glued to my TV catching this every night like i used to...im too busy sending off e-mails to Scarlett Johansson....but i will keep updated with it IF it lays down a simple rule; stop giving people powers for no reason!

I was a fan of this show before it premiered, I was a biased because I fell in love with the concept. Although the first season had its flaws, it kept me watching. I really wanted a big battle at the end of the first season, but was disappointed. Then everything went retrograde in second season, all the characters went back to square one and coupled with the writers strike, I was disappointed with the ending again. So this time around I'm lowering my bar, and even at that, I think this season is going to be lack luster. But I'll still watch, if for nothing else, for Hayden Panettiere.

I always thought Heroes was interesting only when the problems became personal. Their decisions to focus on one or two individual characters more then all of them really helped. Claire, Sylar and Hiro all had their own unique episodes which developed their own unique personalities and strengthened their characters impact on the show. Sadly this only happened on the first season. By season two, everything fell apart. The show focused on all the characters at once, leaving no room for character development and overall, i just lost interest. While i admit that the ending for the second season was much better then the terrible ending in the first season, it doesnt really intrigue me enough to desperately wait for the new season to air.
Some parts really look interesting, such as the whole Level 5 part, and the villains escaping. But i really hope that they'll have more episodes that focus on only one, two or three characters so that it has more room to develop the characters.

I would imagine that there will be a lot more to this series than the first two. Series 1 sweemed to be a kind of origins series and then the series 2 was buggered by the writers' strike. I am hoping for a lot more from this series as really they have no excuses.

I'm not a big fan of 'Heroes' but it seems will fill my fall season line up on the television. It's alright to copy things but good turning evil is been in the movies and other literature long before Phoenix X-men Saga. It would be nice it Claire can be evil, and oh can we see Kristen Bell's Character and Claire do a one on one lesbos/bi moment now thats television.
