I’m fully hooked on this show though I am also waiting for something huge happen. I like that while Bill doesn’t feed on humans (mostly) he is not exactly a ‘good & tame’ vampire. I enjoyed the introducing of Eric and look forward to seeing more of his creepy self. The whole Jason SL this week was hilarious and much deserved sometimes karma is a bitch. LoL

The vampire as a racial substitute is a bit heavy handed at times though. Like when Tara yells at the Sheriff over interracial couples in this episode, for example.

This show continues to impress me. The acting is not exactly strong, but the storylines are great – especially using the concept of Vampirism as a vehicle to discuss race relations, drug abuse and hatred. We even got a separate but equal argument in this episode. I would make a Brown v. Board of Education joke here, but, as everyone knows, there are no Brown v. Board of Education jokes and there never will be.
