I relate it to more like Voyager. Going from memory, and that isn’t good any more, but from what I remember the “Team” finds an ancient ship but are way in another part of the galaxy but can’t get back because of problems with “X”.

I recognized it as a retread of an old Star Trek episode as well. Star Trek: The Next Generation, I think.

Well it all makes sense looking at the grand plan. Amanda left to do her new show Sanctuary. This is the last season for STA so it supposed to be more intense and SciFi has definitely been pushing that idea here lately. The new spin off is where they (not sure who they actually are) find an ancient ship and basically its a Star Trek similar plot.
