TV for Movie LoversIf you are a reader of this site, then you may be aware that for some time now we have slowly been covering more and more TV-related news. You may also find it odd, since we are primarily a site that focuses on movies (thus, our name is Film School Rejects). But we have also noticed a trend lately in televisions shows: many of them, especially in the sci-fi arena, are becoming much more like movies, thus appealing to the exact same audience. In fact, I would go as far as to say that much of the writing we’ve seen in the past years on shows such as “Lost”, “Battlestar Galactica” and “24″ is vastly superior to a lot of the writing that we’ve seen come out of Hollywood.

As well, we all know that real film school reject could end up in TV just as well as movies. The differences are minimal at best. Therefore, we are officially launching a new feature called TV for Movie Lovers. This won’t be like many of our other features though, most of which hit the site on a specific day of the week. TV for Movie Lovers will happen whenever we find something that we’d like to talk about relating to TV. If we want to write an editorial about finding the last Cylon, we can do it here. If we would like to impress upon you how much the upcoming season of “Heroes” is going to rock, we can do that as well. We are TV geeks as much as we are movie geeks, and we are going to prove it to you.

So whenever you see that little logo in the top right corner of the article, you will know that we aren’t just going crazy and posting about TV, we are doing it all for a reason. Or so we think.

To browse more of this feature directly, just click TV for Movie Lovers. Also, if you are interested in joining the FSR team and writing about TV (we are always looking for good contributors), please feel free to head over to our About page and find out how to do just that.
