Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse is Coming, This Picture Proves It

Ever so slowly, we are approaching D-day. The day when Joss Whedon’s newest creation will be unveiled to the world so we can all appreciate his genius all over again. Yes, soon Dollhouse will premiere and we will no longer have to wonder what on earth the show is all about and how it will function. Of course, February 13th is a long time away and the time must be filled somehow. So, to tide you over for a while longer, E! Online have released a new image (right) from the first episode. Of course, it doesn’t reveal much, other than Eliza Dushku (who will always be referred to as “Faith” in my mind) standing in what looks like a kitchen holding a big old stabby knife but hey. In the words of Gregory House, “You can’t always get what you want”.
Dollhouse is Whedon’s newest foray into the sci-fi/fantasy genre, following a group of agents or “dolls”, people whose minds are completely resettable. When sent on a mission, the dolls are programmed with memories and skills to best equip them. When they return, their minds are reset, leaving them with no memory of their actions. Between missions they live in a “dollhouse”, (still wondering where the show’s name came from?) where they are sheltered and protected from the world and the reality of their lives. However, one doll, “Echo” (Dushku) begins to remember fragments of lives and missions past and starts to question what’s really going on. Of course, not all threats come from within the dollhouse, as someone outside gets closer to finding out about its existence.
