I understand that this particular kind of music isn't for everyone…but I, too, have it on my iPod, and listen to it often. It's great music to listen to while cooking. I was bummed when I found out I missed an opportunity to see her in concert at a folk thing in Newport, RI a little while ago.

She has a separate singing career. She released an album not too long ago called "She & Him: Volume One" with fellow songwriter M. Ward. Lots of older standards and newer "originals." Some of it is pretty good!

I would not compare her to Meg Ryan. I think Zooey picks much more interesting characters than Meg. She has amazing chops. I was floored when she sang in Elf. I like this, it's way off beat.
