Must-See Trailer: Hellboy 2: The Golden Army

The release of Guillermo Del Toro’s Hellboy 2: The Golden Army is just one more reason why we have dubbed next summer “The Summer of the Fanboy”. Last year it was the battle of the sequels, this time it is all about pleasing the geek population — we will get everything from more Indiana Jones to an adaptation of the popular graphic novel Wanted.
Needless to say, Hellboy 2 fits right in with a July 11 release date, hitting theaters one week before The Dark Knight. It should make for a great tease of action and special effects. As you can see from the trailer below, Guillermo Del Toro is back in full form, as is Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman. Del Toro, with the critical sensation Pan’s Labyrinth now under his belt, should enjoy plenty more exposure for Hellboy this time around. Thankfully, it looks like he has stepped things up a notch. What can we say? We are certainly going to be in line for this one.
