Must-See Trailer: Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Movie Trailers By Neil Miller on December 20, 2007 | (25) CommentsThe Judd Apatow invasion continues. Let’s count them up for 2007: Knocked Up — huge hit! Superbad — Comedy of the Year! Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story — Golden Globe Nominee?!
It goes without saying that Apatow has a serious eye for talent, putting together and producing 2 of 2007′s most well-received comedies. And as even more praise comes in for the soon-to-be-released Walk Hard, we are starting to get some details on more of Judd Co.’s future projects. This particular project is the Apatow-produced Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which is due out May 30, 2008. It is being directed by Nicholas Stoller (who wrote the title song for Blades of Glory) and it was penned by Freaks and Geeks and Knocked Up alum Jason Segel.

It appears to be a great launching pad for Segel (pictured above with Superbad‘s Jonah Hill), who will be making his screenwriting debut. Since being one of the focal characters on Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared, Segel has spent time on TV’s How I Met Your Mother and has been popping up here and there around Apatow Base Camp. In Forgetting Sarah Marshall, he will play a guy who has just been dumped by his smoking hot celebrity girlfriend (Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell) and decides to take a trip to Hawaii to help get her out of his mind. The only problem is that when he gets there, he finds her there with her new rockstar boyfriend (Russell Brand).
That 70′s Show‘s Mila Kunis also stars, alongside some solid cameo bait from the likes of Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd and Kristen Wiig. That’s right, its just another friendly gathering with the Apatow Clan — and it looks to be pretty hilarious. Take a look at the first teaser trailer below, courtesy of Access Hollywood.
