1 The Dark Knight ( Great )
2 Batman Begins ( Great )
3 Batman ( Great )
4 Batman Returns ( Good )
5 Batman Forever ( Not that i liked it, it was just better than Batman and Robin and Batman 1966 )

I agree! My second would have to be The Dark Night. I dont care for Christian Bale as Batman in the movie but heght Heath Ledger was amazing

Nice slip in of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. Slipped my mind, it was pretty good though.

Although the Batman with Adam West was sort of laughable, although maybe part of that is its charm? I mean c’mon, Shark Repellant on the bat utility belt?

Top 5 Batman theatrical films:

1. Batman Begins

5. Batman (Adam West/Burt Ward)

I enjoy the West campiness.
Not sure I would count the ’49 Batman, sure it was shown theatrically, but it wasn’t a film, per se, it was a serial shown in chapters. Which reminds me, I have to watch my copy….

I’m a fan of Keaton as Batman. At first I was skeptical, but over the years I’ve come to enjoy his portrayal of Batman.

You got to be kidding me!!!
Talk about being backwards, Yikes!! Who rated this thing, a bunch of monkeys!!
The original Tim Burton Batman with Nicholson as the Joker is head and shoulders above the rest, it is not only the best Batman movie, but the best super hero movie ever made. This would be followed by Batman Returns and then Batman Begins, I do not even consider Batman Forever or Batman and Robin to be Batman movies.

I more in agreement with Neil’s. I go Batman #1, Batman Returns #2 and then, still decent but with a considerable drop off, Batman Begins #3. I decline to acknowledge the existence of other Batman movies.

Here is how my top 5 would go for Batman:

1. Batman
– Michael Keaton was and always will be the best Batman!

2. Batman Begins
– Chris Nolan reinvented the Dark Knight like no one could have ever imagined.

3. Batman Returns
– Once again, Michael Keaton – solid.

4. Batman and Robin (1949)
– Spencer Bennett’s film from 1949 was way better than any of the other Batman movies, especially that schlock with George Clooney.

5. The Dark Knight (2008)
– I know its not out yet, or hasn’t even been filmed yet – but once again, no matter what happens, it will still be better than Ah-nold as Mr. Freeze.

That is my list!
