Weekly Top 5: All Time Best Movie Kisses

Time again for yet another very fun edition of Weekly Top 5. In honor of this week’s release Last Kiss, I thought that the Rejects would get a little wet and sloppy, or maybe just plain old romantic. With that, I bring you the Top 5 All Time Best Movie Kisses:

5. Mulholland Dr. (2001)

I’m sorry, but nothing compliments a crazy and highly complex David Lynch film better than a very sensual embrace between actresses Naomi Watts and Laura Harring. Trust me, it deserves to be on the list.

4. Spiderman (2002)

Unconventional and creative, the upside-down kiss in the rain between Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst is sure to inspire some copycats for years to come.

3. Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)

While Truman Capote’s novella was much better, that still takes
nothing away from this film or its famous kiss. Could have been Henry Mancini’s music, could have been the rain, just could have been the fact that this film basically invented the hyper-melodramtic ending between a frail emotional girl and the strong man with open arms.

2. Lost In Translation (2003)

I can’t describe exactly why I love this movie kiss. It could be my obsession for Scarlett Johansson, it could be the way Bill Murray and Johansson exuded the most innocent type of chemistry, or it could even be the fact that the kiss was not even scripted. The ad-libbed kiss took place right in the middle of a busy Tokyo street that just seems to stand still for these two very memorable characters.

1. Lady and the Tramp (1955)

You know how when a girl sees something so cute that she could die, and she goes something like “awwwwww.” Well, if you ever wondered where that came from…just watch this movie.
