Have you ever seen a movie, and then thought "Wow! That is a true story?" Yeah, sometimes a biographical movie can both amaze us and shock us due to the reality of the story. Many biographical films are wonderful because they tell a true-life tale, and entertain us and education us at the same time. We can’t list all the films, so below are some of the mostly highly rated biographical films. There may be some surprising results in the list, but it’s an evolving list, so it’s always improving and hanging.

  1. The Insider
    An enthralling movie about the the tobacco industry’s greed and influence. After watching this film, you make second-guess your decision to light up a cigeratte.
  2. A Beautiful Mind
    We accompany the great mathematician John Nash on his journey into mathematics and conspiracy. John Nash was truly an amazing scientist. He also had many challenges in life. This is a well told story.
  3. Hotel Rwanda
    A chilling tale about violence among tribes in Rwanda. The character development is very well done, and the camera work enthralls the audience. You’ll finish the movie with amazement at the brutality of humankind, and you’ll be glad to have seen the film.
  4. Monster
    A true story about a femaile serial killer who is also a prostitute. The acting is superb, and the story telling is excellent. The make-up is also amazing.
  5. Good Night, and Good Luck.
    The awesome tale about the famous CBS newscaster Edward R. Murrow. Government influence and corruption are told by a daring newscaster. A great story to learn about, and a very entertaining story to watch.
