During the press conference for Zack and Miri Make A Porno, a very enthusiastic cast made it clear that this is a film to run out and see on opening weekend.

At their Comic-Con press conference, the cast of Zack and Miri took on the topic of their favorite Kevin Smith films.

The full event schedule for Comic-Con International 2008 has finally been released online via the official Comic-Con website. And just to give you a taste of what you should be looking out for, I have dug into the schedule and emerged with some of the can’t miss movie geek events.

Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Seth Rogen. In fact, his upcoming collaboration with Kevin Smith in Zack and Miri Make a Porno is certainly toward the top of my must-see Fall movies list. But I will be damned if Seth doesn’t do a lot of talking about his upcoming projects.

Talk about a surreal 24-hour stretch — I awoke this morning still trying to process the unbelievably epic nature of The Dark Knight, which I had a chance to see last evening. As well, I also found that Kevin Smith was blogging — about Zack and Miri and The Dark Knight, to be specific.

It appears that that the ratings board of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) is on the warpath once again, using their strong liberal bias to limit the amount of sex between a man and a woman that appears in movie theaters across the country.

News Askew has reported that the teaser trailer for the film that stars Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks, has suddenly disappeared. When Kevin Smith was asked why this happened, his response got a pretty good chuckle out of me.

I am content in my decision to not stay up all night and wait for the trailer, as I would have probably been rather disappointed.

Normally we are all over the release of new movie trailers, especially from our favorite directors. Unfortunately, in this case we need to get some sleep…

Kevin Smith finally dropped in on his own blog to give fans a quick update on Zack and Miri Make a Porno, including news of a test screening, a run time and a few words about the San Diego Comic Con. Oh, and he dropped off a new photo from the flick as well.

Today, we got word from the guys at News Askew that the film’s official website received an update. We raced over there to find that Kevin has published a few new images from the film, which can be seen after the jump.

Like a hirsute, yet delightfully overweight, male burlesque dancer, director Kevin Smith raised our temperatures about Zack and Miri Make a Porno without revealing too much in his latest interview with News Askew fans. Despite Neil punching me in the shoulder every five minutes to rhetorically ask me how cool Kevin Smith is, I’ve had some time to process the interview and came to a few conclusions.
