Rob Hunter loves movies. He also loves slinging hash and pouring stout at The Slaughtered Lamb. These two joys come together in the form of cash money payments that he receives every week and immediately uses to buy more DVDs. This week we take a look at a couple furry manimals, some suspense from abroad, and a mother who covers her kitchen floor with warm milk fresh from the source (and I don’t mean a cow).

Remember that Wolverine movie, all those months ago? It did well enough, and by well enough I mean that it made enough money for the studio to want a second serving.

In today’s first round of non-news that might be a little bit of news, Hugh Jackman confirmed for MTV News that he is, in fact, working hard on a story for Wolverine 2.

Willem Dafoe will need to paint himself green and add two more arms for his upcoming role in John Carter of Mars. Or maybe the make-up department can handle that for him.

Now that we know that Ryan Reynolds’s next feature is going to be a one-man show, I’m wondering if he’ll open with, “Oh, hey! Didn’t see you there!”

In other news: Fox is working on a Hitman sequel. No word yet on who will have to go bald for it.

Katee Sackhoff (”Battlestar Galactica”) reportedly entered L.A.’s Golden Apple comic book store last week for some possible research material.

There may be some Trekkies out there who are disappointed that the weekend box office for Star Trek was only $72.5 million. Quit grouching. This is still the best showing ever for a Star Trek movie.

It’s been a few days, sure, but you know that you can’t resist another wonderfully packed edition of the Early Edition…

Neil and Kevin go completely ga-ga over the new Star Trek movie, singing praises to J.J. Abrams and the gang. Neil also laments the fact that he now has to start reviewing movies again while Kevin gives us his take on Next Day Air.

With the success of X-Men Origins Wolverine, we’re a step closer to some new X-Spinoffs. But do we want them?

Well, X-Men Origins: Wolverine started the summer box office season on a winning note with an opening weekend haul of $87 million, the best opening so far in 2009.

Once again, two members of the FSR staff have squared off. This week it is Josh Radde and Paul Sileo talking circles around who is the bigger badass, Wolverine or Wolverine.
