So your film made $30 million this weekend, who gives a crap? Not this guy.

As someone known for being a tease himself, it’s somewhat strange to hear Robert Fure thinks most Hollywood movies are being teased too often, too early, and too much.

Once again we’re playing catchup with The Blu-ray Report, but unlike previous week’s I am happy to go back and take a look at 8 new Blu-ray releases — some from this week and some from last week — that are currently all rocking my world to some extent.

As correctly predicted by myself, it was indeed the attack of the 50-foot woman in 3-D at the box office. Monsters vs. Aliens won the weekend with a haul of $58 million, topping Watchmen for the best weekend opening of 2009 so far.

By now this video is making its way around the web at the speed of light. I first spotted it yesterday on The Daily What and have been watching every few hours since that time. Why? Because I have that kind of time.

The folks at Warner Premiere have provided us with three new high resolution images from Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter, which hits DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, March 24th.

Well, finally a weekend comes along at the Reject Report where my predictions look semi-intelligent. Race to Witch Mountain, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, raced to Number One with a haul of $25 million — pretty much in the ballpark of what most people thought it would get.

This week, Landon explores the world of long movies. Really long movies.

As you may have noticed, our attention has turned quickly from the Watchmen situation to the upcoming SXSW Film Festival. That was until I caught a glimpse of these awesome Watchmen legos.

Until we elevate truly groundbreaking films to the top of the theatrical totem pole, Hollywood will continue to sing the same song. If past is prologue then it appears we will continue to hum along.

With reviews of Watchmen seemingly divided between on-line reviewers and print journalists, Robert “Rage” Fure sets his sights on reviews with an agenda and those who would deceive their audience.

The numbers are in for Watchmen here at the Reject Report — and as expected it was a very big weekend for DC superheroes, again. $55.6 million — the best so far in 2009.
