There is certainly something about a big, dumb Mike Myers-led comedy that leaves moviegoers emptying their wallets, isn’t there?

I have found myself on an email splattercast courtesy of Rajan Zed, a self-proclaimed “prominent Indo-American leader.” Yes, while the Guru Pitka seems to be stalking our illustrious Executive Editor Neil Miller, I’m the target of this Indo-American media hound.

Apparently a group of Hindu leaders are planning on protesting Mike Myers’ upcoming cinematic travesty The Love Guru for its lampooning of their religion. Lila D. Sharma, president of the India Heritage Panel in Chandigarh, India, has said, “Hollywood is trying to make money by laughing at our holy men and in the process creating a stereotype.”

Despite the Jessica Alba factor, this one looks like it is going nowhere fast.

I do not play “World of Warcraft”, the extremely popular — and in many ways cultish — massively multi-player online role playing game. But while you won’t see me leading my character through the Hellfire Peninsula or Thunder Bluff, you may just run across a celebrity or two.
