Welcome to the post-Summer Movie Season edition of the Reject Report! And you sure can tell it’s the post-summer edition, because there’s NOTHING on tap this weekend.

It’s pretty obvious that people out there across North America are just movied-out. Everyone is just sick of movies. They are too busy vacationing/watching college football/fleeing hurricanes to bother with the latest junk at the theaters.

Yesterday we showed you our first online look at Les Grossman, the booty-dancing, over the top studio executive played by Tom Cruise Tropic Thunder. But that was just a picture, today we’ve got video.

Paramount Pictures has officially released the documentary behind the movie Tropic Thunder, known as Rain of Madness, online for free on iTunes. It also includes a few surprises.

Another day goes by and someone else is offended by a movie that is closing in on its release date. This time, it is a group of Islamic-American’s who aren’t too fond of Alan Ball’s upcoming flick Towelhead.

Tropic Thunder ended up hanging on to first place with a $16 million haul. That was not a surprise. What was surprising, though, was how strongly The House Bunny did.

My hope is that Paramount Pictures issues a heartfelt and public apology to obese American everywhere for the thoughtless and derogatory depictions of people with weight issues.

At the Tropic Thunder press junket, Jack Black took a moment to talk about a few things that won’t be inspiring controversy.

Some have suggested that this movie goes too far with inappropriate language, situations and characters, but unlike some movies, Tropic Thunder isn’t just going for shock value. At its heart, Tropic Thunder is a parody of its own industry and nothing more.

Everybody is all up-in-arms about the new film Tropic Thunder, but so few people have seen it yet. If you think you might be the least bit offended by this movie, you can stay home… or you can drink until the movie isn’t offensive at all.
