Movie News After Dark: Pixar’s Luna, Highlander, Ayn Rand, Thor, Hunger Games and Killer Zoe Saldana
Movie News By Neil Miller on May 6, 2011 | Comments (7)What is Movie News After Dark? It is (d) all of the above. “La Luna is the timeless fable of a young boy who is coming of age in the most peculiar of circumstances.” That’s the opening of the synopsis to Pixar’s La Luna, the short that will play the Annecy International Animation Festival next month in France. It’s our adorable headlining image. (Courtesy of Walt Disney Pictures)
Movie News After Dark: Green Lantern, Tomb Raider, Arrested Development and 100 Years of Effects
Movie News By Neil Miller on March 8, 2011 | Comments (1)What is Movie News After Dark? This is a question that I am almost never asked, but I will answer it for you anyway. Movie News After Dark is FSR’s newest late-night secretion, a column dedicated to all of the news stories that slip past our daytime editorial staff and make it into my curiously chubby RSS ‘flagged’ box. It will (but is not guaranteed to) include relevant movie news, links to insightful commentary and other film-related shenanigans. I may also throw in a link to something TV-related here or there. It will also serve as my place of record for being both charming and sharp-witted, but most likely I will be neither of the two. I write this stuff late at night, what do you expect?
Today in Absurdity: Kim Kardashian as Lara Croft
Movie News By Neil Miller on June 8, 2010 | Comments (1)I can’t imagine seeing Kim Kardashian doing anything well on-screen beyond what I saw when she appeared in that tasteless home movie with Ray J. That’s his name, right — Ray J? However, I appear to not be the only person in this realm. Someone out there thinks that Kim Kardashian and all of her famous body parts might make for a half-decent, family friendly Lara Croft in a Tomb Raider revival. Haven’t they seen her previous work? There’s nothing family friendly about it.
