Something has been happening in Hollywood over the past few years, and some people are really getting their noses out of joint about it: PG-13ification of American cinema.

Need a date movie? A popcorn flick? A thriller? We’ve got you covered — and we’ve got you in and out faster than you can say “Hey, those Film School Rejects really know what they are talkin’ about…”

The Ruins is one of the creepiest, most disturbing tales to hit theaters in months. The last time I saw such a visceral, effective thriller was when Neil Marshall released The Descent. It’s bleak and it’s gory, and if there is a film that is guaranteed to make your skin crawl, this one is it.

If Turistas wasn’t enough, more spring breakers are in peril south of the border with The Ruins. This time, a group of college kids head out to visit some dangerous Mayan ruins in Mexico. And what Mexican vacation wouldn’t be complete without a bottle of tequila at your side.

Neil and Kevin serve witty banter over a discussion of love and football for Leatherheads, take a trip to Nim’s Island, freak out over evil weeds in The Ruins (while drooling over Laura Ramsey and her fabulous breasts) and wonder whose bright idea it was to put Mick Jagger’s wrinkly mug on an IMAX screen.

This week’s hottie has been seen alongside Amanda Bynes in She’s the Man, fighting of vamps in The Covenant and getting terrified in this weekend’s The Ruins, but here on FSR, she’s showing off her sexy side.
