This week my Blu-ray queue is jam-packed with movies, some good and others, not so much. In fact, the “not so much” crowd seems to be dominating this week’s line-up with a series of comedy favorites and their lackluster special features.

Burn After Reading, which was picked by a lot of people to finish well behind at the box office, ended up winning the weekend by a hair over Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys and also Righteous Kill.

Another down weekend at the box office, courtesy of the solo release of Nic Cage’s new movie Bangkok Dangerous, has left Hollywood wondering, “Where did everyone go?”

Tropic Thunder ended up hanging on to first place with a $16 million haul. That was not a surprise. What was surprising, though, was how strongly The House Bunny did.

A movie about a Playboy bunny: good. A PG-13 rating: bad. Anna Faris as said Playboy bunny: good. Overblown collagen lip injections: bad. Cameos by the Girls Next Door: good. An attempt at acting by Hugh Hefner: bad.

Anna Faris is hot. And she’s in a bikini top and hot pants through much of The House Bunny. I’ll drink to that!

This weekend promises to be a real death race at the box office. That’s the name of the movie, too: Death Race. Also, The Rocker rolls out, and so does The House Bunny starring funnygal Anna Faris. All that and more this weekend at the Report.

Neil is grumpy this week, and Kevin takes full advantage of his weakness for the show.

Any movie that involves a trip to the Playboy Mansion and a cast of relatively hot, somewhat nubile actresses is going to attract some attention from the fellas, including my very manly self. That said, I have some observations to make.
