We have two new movies rolling out with big star power — The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 with Denzel Washington and John Travolta, and Imagine That starring Eddie Murphy.

The internet, when not being awesome, is murdering many of the joys we once shared in a movie theater.

Move over Drag Me To Hell, 2009 has a new comedy king! It’s only June but I feel fairly confident calling The Hangover the funniest film of 2009. Bruno and Funny People seem like the only remaining films with a chance of beating it (the former more so than the latter), but I’m calling it now. Go see this movie! Just be sure to take a lesson from my mistake and remember to wear your rubber underwear.

I can’t speak for the lot of you, but I can say that from where I’m sitting, Todd Phillips’ The Hangover looks like a wicked funny film. Or at least, it has the potential to be a riot.

Allow me to throw some thoughts and opinions at you, rapid fire style — Zach Galifianakis is hysterical, even when he’s doing nothing. Ed Helms has been the best part of the last two seasons of The Office. These are just two factors that tell me Todd Phillips’ The Hangover should be decent.
