Well, it was Sarah Marshall who got dumped this weekend at the box office. Or better yet, it was Judd Apatow who got dumped — not by Sarah Marshall, but by the moviegoing public, AGAIN.

Unlike Clarence Worley in True Romance, I’m not obsessed with martial arts movies. One of my criticisms of these films is that they take themselves way too seriously.Fortunately, this is not a problem with The Forbidden Kingdom

You may not have heard about it yet, but there is a hilarious and equally disturbing “R-Kelly moment” in the new film The Forbidden Kingdom. And while this would normally be considered vulgar and obscene by some, I realized how often these moments appear in mainstream movies.

While Jet Li plays a respectable monk, Jackie Chan is a drunk in the film. But he has such awesome moves, it makes you wonder if you can be as good at martial arts if you were drunk. Now’s your chance… at least to find out if you can watch martial arts while drunk.

It appears things are definitely looking up as far as theater business goes in the next few weeks. We have the Judd Apatow production Forgetting Sarah Marshall, we have the Al Pacino thriller 88 Minutes, and the action flick The Forbidden Kingdom.

People have been making a big deal over The Forbidden Kingdom, the first time that Jackie Chan and Jet Li are going to appear together on-screen.
