Once again we’re playing catchup with The Blu-ray Report, but unlike previous week’s I am happy to go back and take a look at 8 new Blu-ray releases — some from this week and some from last week — that are currently all rocking my world to some extent.

The folks at Warner Premiere have provided us with three new high resolution images from Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter, which hits DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, March 24th.

Zack Snyder spills the beans on The Director’s Cut and an ultra bad-ass three and a half hour release!

As a gentle reminder that Watchmen is coming soon, there’s a new trailer for the animated companion piece to remind us that is, also, is coming soon.

A major piece of the comic puzzle will fall into animated place for Watchmen just a few days after its release. Luckily, that place is on DVD, and there are a few teaser images to give us all an idea of what to look forward to.

As expected, the folks at Warner Bros. Home Video have announced the details for the DVD and Blu-ray release of Tales of the Black Frieghter, the companion film to Zack Snyder’s Watchmen. This supplemental release, which follows the major substory within the book by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, will be released on March 24.
