While the financial success of the upcoming film Twilight is yet to be assured, it appears that the studio is already itching to get the sequel rolling.

Get ready Twilighters — Comic Con 2008 in San Diego is going to be your big chance to meet and greet with the full cast of Twilight as well as author Stephenie Meyer. Oh, and the film City of Ember will be there, too.

For those who have been living under a rock for the last couple of months, Twilight is coming, so get ready. The teen angst supernatural drama features vampires, werewolves (well, not yet) and a young girl called Bella Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) who falls head over heels with one of the dazzling undead is an adaptation of one of the most popular young adult books since Harry Potter, and we have two oh so pretty new pictures of eternal beings smashing the shite out of each other. Is she really worth it?

So it turns out that Twilight’s filmmakers are pretty confident that their movie is going to be a success. So confident are they that they’re tossing around the idea that if Twilight does in fact do well in the first few weeks, then they set the filming of the sequel in motion immediately.

We have been giving a lot of love lately to the upcoming film Twilight, which is based on the immensely successful series of books by Stephenie Meyer. I must say, I ordered up this intensified coverage because I have never before seen a rabid fanbase such as this one.

When Robert Pattinson left the world of possibly the most popular adaptation of the page for the screen, Harry Potter, he couldn’t have known that only a few years later he could return, in another explosively successful adaptation with the potential to take the Potter torch and run.

Twilight is generating a complete flood of buzz at the moment, and it seems that there’s a new story every day (well, actually more like two a day) so in order to get everyone up to speed, there’s gonna be a whirlwind blitz here, so keep up!
