For a while now (since at least late last year) Kevin Smith has been talking about a project that brings together two of my personal favorite things — his writing and the game of hockey. And seeing as I’m still buzzing from the Team USA win over Team Canada last night at the Olympics, now is a perfect time to talk about Mr. Smith and Hit Somebody once again.

Warner Bros. Pictures has released their final press kit for the upcoming buddy cop comedy Cop Out, directed by Kevin Smith, and we thought we’d share some of the goodies. We know how much you all love photo galleries, so it can’t hurt.

Here comes something fun — the red band trailer for Kevin Smith’s upcoming film Cop Out. Unlike the standard trailer, this one brings the cursing, brings the dick jokes and brings some Tracy Morgan-on-kid violence.

There were a lot of bad movies released during the past decade. That’s not anything that distinguishes the aughts from any other decade before it, but then most of these movies were bad in the usual, torturous ways.

I’ve been pretty vocal in my resistance to anything from Judd Apatow or starring Jonah Hill, so when I got a chance to see a comedy that neither had any involvement in, I jumped at the chance. That film was Role Models and is one of the five best comedies of 2008.

Go get a stick, because we’ve got a ton of Role Models pics and I’m curious if its more than you could shake that stick at.
