Warner Bros. and MySpace have released the second trailer for the upcoming horror remake A Nightmare on Elm Street, which stars Jackie Earle Haley as the iconic dreamscape killer Freddie Krueger. Just as any great horror trailer tends to do, this one opens with something quite shocking — quiet, spooky calm, then BAM! It gets me every time. But I’m a gigantic wimp. Hopefully you will hold up better, as this trailer runs over two minutes long and definitely brings some terror.

Warner Bros. Pictures and MySpace debuted a brand new poster for the upcoming remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street yesterday, giving us an extremely detailed look at the crispy, gnarly face of the new Freddy Krueger, played by Jackie Earle Haley. If there’s one take-away to be had with this poster, it’s that there is an incredible amount of detail in the make-up effects work.
