TV shows dominate the DVD column this week along with a pissed off Irishman, an eerie Ann Hathaway, unnecessary sequels, and a Norwegian parody of a Tarantino film!

Is S. Darko really the sequel no one asked for? If it is, no one will be excited when April 28th rolls around.

Sequels are an inevitability for two reasons… greed and a dearth of creativity. It’s a challenge to find a necessary sequel amongst all the crap, or even one that carries the original story to new and exciting places.

File this under WTF. According to Empire, Donnie Darko, that celebrated piece of indie film making with one of the strangest plots going, is reportedly getting a sequel.
