Norton, and this new Hulk film should successfully help eradicate any memory of Bruce Bana, Crazy ole’ Nick Nolte and Ang Lee’s gamma poodles. So I began to think to myself, ‘If not Edward Norton, who else could possibly fill Hulk’s huge purple pants?’ , and thus I came up with this fun list for Hulk couldabeens.

Director Doug Liman (Mr. and Mrs. Smith, The Bourne Identity) has his eye on Russell Crowe for the role of Valerie Plame’s husband, Joe Wilson.

When Ridley Scott presses his eye up to the lens, he’s a genius. He leaves audiences speechless whether from the irrational fear of alien attack or the hauntingly beautiful imagery of a wheat field in a memory. When he opens his mouth for an interview, he leaves us at a loss for words for a different reason.

To me, American Gangster seemed like it could be this year’s Departed, but without the swagger and panache.

Last year, it was Martin Scorcese that rocked the gangster-movie lover’s hearts with a duel between a mobster-cop and a cop-mobster. This year, another brilliant director, takes his turn to honor the genre.

Would I be overdoing it by calling American Gangster an American masterpiece? I don’t think I’ve enjoyed any other movie this year more than this one.

At first glance, it would be easy to confuse Ridley Scott’s American Gangster for your run-of-the-mill shoot ‘em up actioner, complete with big stars, big guns and big drama. But upon closer inspection, American Gangster reveals itself to be something completely different.

While we can’t suggest that you buy a dime bag of Denzel’s Blue Magic heroin, we can suggest that you knock back a few bottles of good ol’ brew with this film.

Universal Pictures has dropped some great new pictures on us from the upcoming film American Gangster. The set includes some pretty badass shots of bad guy Denzel Washington and top cop Russell Crowe.

The folks over at Empire Online sent us a link for a new extended trailer of American Gangster. I don’t know if any of you have seen the original trailer for the film, but it looks like it will be another gem from the Crowe/Scott tandem. The film features Russell Crowe, Denzel Washington and the direction of Ridley Scott.
