This week, the Fox TV show Glee (a show I’ve never watched a minute of) hit your local retailers with the first part of its first season on DVD. And while I’m not too sure about the show, I am sure about the hilarity created by Jane Lynch.

I’ve been pretty vocal in my resistance to anything from Judd Apatow or starring Jonah Hill, so when I got a chance to see a comedy that neither had any involvement in, I jumped at the chance. That film was Role Models and is one of the five best comedies of 2008.

This past weekend we slipped into the month of November. And while the month begins with the fury of election season, it will undoubtedly finish with the start of the holiday movie season.
