Coming out of hiding, Bryan Singer has signed on for yet another movie. This, of course, means we still have 6 more weeks of winter.

It is catch-up time once again on This Week in Blu-ray. Watch Neil scramble to catch you up on all the Blu-ray releases of the last few weeks. We’re told that next week, TWiBD will be ready for Tuesday morning. That remains to be seen.

Rob Hunter loves movies. He also loves working as Jack Burton’s favorite mechanic helping to keep the Pork Chop Express tuned to a 6.9 on the Richter scale. These two joys come together in the form of cash money payments that he receives every week and immediately uses to buy more DVDs.

Well, finally a weekend comes along at the Reject Report where my predictions look semi-intelligent. Race to Witch Mountain, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, raced to Number One with a haul of $25 million — pretty much in the ballpark of what most people thought it would get.

After all the excitement over Watchmen it is shaping up to be yet another dull week of predictions here at the Reject Report. Looking at the lineup this weekend I have got to say we have a serious lack of original ideas coming out of Hollywood.

I don’t know either. I just don’t know. Should I be excited about an adaptation of a childhood favorite despite the casting?

For some reason, this year’s Superbowl commercials — at least the movie related variety — all seem to be showing up on the web prior to Sunday’s big game. If you ask me, it just doesn’t seem right. Either way, this new Race to Witch Mountain clip isn’t half bad…

Didn’t The Rock learn anything from Vin Diesel’s foray into the world of family action comedies — I think we all remember how The Pacifier worked out, and Race to Witch Mountain has all the potential workings of a similar fate.
