In a pitch that sounds eerily like a 1980s Disney television movie, Charles Gibson will step behind the main lens for the first time with The Goblin.

Chev Chelios may have cheated death in Crank 2: High Voltage, but he’s definitely not the first. Check out some of the dumbest ways studios have saved characters from their all-too-early demises.

We all know that Johnny Depp has signed on to reprise Captain Jack Sparrow in yet another Pirates of the Caribbean film. Now there’s word that Keira Knightley is balking at the prospect of stepping back into Elizabeth Swann’s corsets or the film.

For a culture inundated with awards shows and general bouts of celebrities patting themselves on the back, it’s nice to see that the MTV Movie Awards is still relevant.
