So sadly, it looks like Eddie Murphy hasn’t used up all of his credibility in Hollywood. Murphy will be pushing 50 when, according to Variety, he will attempt to reprise his role as Axel Foley from the popular Beverly Hills Cop films. I can just imagine Murphy standing in front of a mirror proclaiming, “If Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Harrison Ford can do it…So can I!”.

The first trailer has been released for the upcoming Eddie Murphy comedy Meet Dave, which stars Murphy as a guy who is really a craft of some kind, in which itty bitty people live and work. It is sort of like Innerspace, only not fun, creative or even remotely interesting.

Eddie Murphy got nominated for an Oscar last year… This year he is taking home hardware, just not the right kind.

Who could have predicted that one of the worst-reviewed films of the year, a film that arguably cost Eddie Murphy the Oscar last year, would have a shot at the most prestigious award in cinema?
