It is the 6th of the month and Watchmen fans know what that means — time for another behind the scenes video journal.

I am aware that I already posted the bootleg version of the Watchmen footage from this week’s Spike TV Scream Awards, but I cannot resist the urge to publish it again now that we’ve received the high resolution version.

What I really mean by that title is that last night’s Spike TV 2008 Scream Awards featured and extended trailer for Zack Snyder’s much anticipated film Watchmen.

Brazilian movie magazine SET will be debuting four different Watchmen covers for their upcoming September Issue, and we just so happen to have them for you.

Today, the concept of cool has manifested itself in the form of four brand new Watchmen photos, which will also be making their debut in this month’s issue of Empire Magazine.

I have a feeling that between now and March 6, 2009, the day Zack Snyder’s Watchmen hits theaters, I will run out of puns related to the word watch.

After seeing the extended footage earlier, and hearing the way these actors approached this film – like a passion project that happened to be backed by millions of dollars -Cole Abaius is even more sold on how fantastic Watchmen is going to be.

Comic-Con attendees knew that the Watchmen panel in Hall H was going to be the main event of the Con — what they didn’t know is that the footage shown would stun them to silence.

Last year Zack Snyder vowed that he would return in 12 months with all kinds of cool stuff from Watchmen for Comic-Con ’08. This year, we are ready to take him up on that offer.

We knew this was coming — we had reported last week that we knew the trailer for Zack Snyder’s Watchmen would be attached to The Dark Knight. So it was safe to assume that it would end up online sometime this week.

It looks like the Holy Grail of comic/film adaptations is finally moving in the right direction: towards actually being completed.

It’s hard not to not like the Brothers Solomon, the actual characters, not the movie… not.

The plot is ridiculous, the characters largely unlikable, and the comedy is forced.
