When Frank moves in with Liz after a fire at his place, they each vow to help the other kick their bad habits: eating unhealthily for Liz and smoking for Frank. Jenna turns to Jack for help when her unfit mother, Verna (Jan Hooks) shows up, but Jack is skeptical when it appears she’s turned over a new leaf.

After being threatened by his enemy in Washington D.C., Devon Banks (Will Arnett), Jack must make sure the first episode of Liz’s “Dealbreakers” talk show goes off without a hitch, which first involves calming Liz’s performance anxiety.

Jack, disgusted at a rift in the Geiss family, vows to get a vasectomy so as to never have kids and convinces Tracy, who’s frustrated at his son Tracy Jr. (Bobb’e Thompson), to do the same. Liz learns the rules of New York real estate.

The humble attitude of new TGS cast member Jack “Danny” Baker (Cheyenne Jackson) causes Jenna and Tracy to re-think their whip-cracking treatment of Kenneth as they team up to form a duo – aptly named “The Problem Solvers” – to help people solve problems rather than cause them.

Liz and Pete have discovered the talent they want to hire for TGS and plan to dupe Jack into hiring him, but when Jenna discovers that the lead candidate is an actor she dislikes, she and a paranoid Tracy plan to find their own candidate.

Jack and Liz take a trip to Kenneth’s hometown of Stone Mountain, Georgia in yet another attempt to find all-American talent while Jenna attempts to charm the writing staff so she’ll get favorable roles once a new cast member is hired and they in turn attempt to charm her for an invitation to a Halloween party.

Liz begins to see the negative ripple effects from her book “Dealbreakers” – especially from an aggravated Tracy Jordan – while Jack struggles to find a way to make GE profitable to appease President Obama’s Microwave and Small Appliances Task Force headed up by his arch-enemy Devon Banks.

After Liz chides Tracy for acting like a child in front of everyone, he becomes obnoxiously professional on set and pushes Liz’s view that no one deserves special treatment back in her face.

Elisa returns to 30 Rock with a dark secret that she doesn’t want Jack to know out of fear he won’t love her anymore and Jenna goes to desperate measures to try and re-connect with a cute EMT that actually enjoys her show.

In order to build up hype for Jenna’s Janis Joplin biopic, “Jackie Jormp Jomp,” Jack decides to fake Jenna’s death.

Turning 50, Jack hopes to recapture the joy he felt as a 10-year old that got him so excited he threw up. When Dennis (Dean Winters) shows back up in Liz’s life to make amends for being a sexaholic, one of his confessions strains Liz’s friendship with Jenna.

Liz finds herself stretched too thin when she has jury duty added to her already hectic life. With her out of the office, no one can help curve the behavior of Jenna, who is using experimental drugs to keep herself awake, and Tracy, who keeps cursing on live television.

When Liz meets a pregnant teenager who’s thinking about giving up the baby once it’s born, she befriends the girl in an attempt to be first in line for adoption consideration.

An adult photo that Liz took of herself comes back to haunt her when she accidentally leaves the cell phone with which she used to take it in a cab.

When Jack realizes that Elisa’s (Salma Hayek) grandmother dislikes him because he resembles exactly the dastardly Generalissimo on her favorite Spanish soap opera, he makes Liz write some flattering episodes with Elisa’s help. Unfortunately, the exploits of the Spanish antagonist just give Liz ideas on how to win over her new attractive neighbor, the philanthropic Dr. Drew Baird (Jon Hamm).

Liz, still in the throngs of baby fever, ends up on a date with Stewart (Peter Dinklage), a UN employee whom she mistakes for a child on the street.

After Jack accidentally hits his mother, Colleen (Elaine Stritch), with his car while visiting her for Christmas, she comes back to New York to spend the holiday with him.
