In this edition of This Week in Blu-ray, it is slim pickings all around. From horror comedy with lazily constructed special feature selections to mediocre comedies that just won’t go away…

Here’s one for all you studio-gossip hounds: Universal Pictures announced rather suddenly and somewhat unexpectedly today that Chairman Mac Shmuger and Co-Chairman David Linde are to be replaced with new Chair Adam Fogelson and Co-Chair Donna Langley. But why?

It was either this headline, or something about how a guy who loves sports is going to direct a spoof, and I didn’t think anyone would get that reference. My other option was “Taccone Directs Feature while Samberg and T-Pain are at Kinko’s Straight Flipping Copies,” and it seemed way too long.

Welcome to another hung-over edition of the Reject Report and the big question is who will have the box-office hangover this weekend — The Hangover, or Will Ferrell? Or will Up finally come down to earth?

Neil continues his reign over Kevin by seeing more movies this week. However, Kevin doesn’t take this lying down and unleashes venom on Neil like dinosaur urine. (Trust me, this reference is relevant if you’ve seen Land of the Lost.)

We find our way back from the Land of the Lost with a list of 10 things we weren’t keen on and half as many that we thought were groovy.

Earlier this evening our good friend and faithful reader Christopher M. sent over a handful of new images from the upcoming Universal Pictures comedy Land of the Lost, but before we could post them we were hit with the brand new trailer, from which the photos were taken.

Universal Studios has unleashed posters for two of their 2009 tentpoles, the Will Ferrell led adaptation of Land of the Lost and the fourquel known as Fast and Furious.

I must admit in the company of friends that when I heard that Will Ferrell would be headlining a modern movie adaptation of the classic television show Land of the Lost, I was filled with mixed feelings.

Transformers 2 is shooting in Sedona, Arizona… otherwise known as the land of crystal healing, UFOs, and it’s a New Age mecca. Oh, and they have some pretty awesome scenery, to boot.

I know that we have been bombarding you with all kinds of rumors and speculation about a possible Anchoman sequel, but don’t let that divert your attention away from an equally exciting Will Ferrell project, the currently in production Land of the Lost adaptation.
