Straight from the halls of Comic-Con in San Diego, the brand new poster for Warner Bros. upcoming wild west shootout Jonah Hex has made its way into the public eye.

In order to help you keep all of the movie-related stuff straight, we’ve put together a list of the 13 must see movie-related events of Comic-Con 2009. So get out your pencil and your day calendar (the one with the kittens on it) and write down the following events.

Almost a month ago we showed you some totally boring pictures of Megan Fox on the set of Jonah Hex, in which she was wearing a robe over what we could only assume was a very sexy old west hooker costume. Now we have our proof.

The Hollywood trades are reporting today that comedic journeyman Will Arnet and Oscar nominated creepy guy Michael Shannon have signed on to join Jonah Hex, the Jimmy Hayward directed comic adaptation about a scarred bounty hunter tracking a voodoo practitioner across the wild, wild west.

For those of you who have been wondering what the newly single Megan Fox’s next career move will be, we have the answer.

Malkovich has signed on to the upcoming Jonah Hex. Josh Brolin stars as Hex, and Malkovich will play a wealthy Southern plantation owner named Turnbull who blames Hex for his son’s death at the hands of Union soldiers.

What do you do when Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the outrageous duo behind Crank and Pathology,walk away from directing your big screen adaption of a gritty, bloody, violent, adult comic book? You pull a complete 180 degree turn and hire the guy who made Horton Hears a Who!

I have been learning a lot about director Lexi Alexander this week. And no, I did not just realize that she is (a) very attractive and (b) a former kick boxing champion. I did, however, learn that she’s very interested in directing Jonah Hex.

The dynamic directing duo won’t be bringing their vision of Hex to the screen. Even if Brolin is on board, the studio is back to finding a new direction.

It turns out the star might not be interested in ripping half his face off to play an obscure comic book character. That’s right, Hex fans, I said ‘obscure.’

Jeffrey Wells is reporting from Hollywood Elsewhere that “the deal is sealed for Josh Brolin to star in Jonah Hex”! Wells claims “a friend” has confirmed that Brolin was “locked down last night.”

You may have heard by now that the photo we posted of Thomas Jane as Jonah Hex is fake. Only problem is that that’s not entirely true.
