God Bless the late great Paul Newman, but I don’t care if Cruise got his blessing for a remake of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, the idea of Cruise as Sundance and John Travolta as Butch Cassidy, makes me want to hurl.

Sometimes when I prep for this column, I scrounge to find ideas. However, there are also weeks when entertainment news is so filled with stupid stories that I can’t help but gather them together. As a New Year’s present, I offer you this hodge podge of WTF stories from the past week.

And to his credit, no matter how ridiculous the character he generally gives himself the opportunity to pull it off without looking like a complete moron (save for that little blunder known as Battlefield Earth).
