Edward Norton Breaks Out of Prison For This ‘Stone’ Interview
Features By Cole Abaius on October 21, 2010 | Comments (3)Everyone is imprisoned in Stone, but Edward Norton’s character is the only one physically locked up in the big house. The movie leaves a lot unanswered, delivers one of Robert De Niro’s best performances in years, and presents something audiences have clamored for since American History X: Edward Norton in cornrows. I was fortunate enough to sit down with the actor during the film’s run at Fantastic Fest, and we dug deep into the nature of imprisonment, the nature of storytelling, and the De Niro film that makes Norton stop breathing. Special Thanks to Luke Mullen for his keen editing skills.
De Niro and Norton Pair Up Again for ‘Stone’
Casting Couch By Cole Abaius on May 7, 2009 | Comments (6)A solid group of talent is gathering around John Curran’s new indie thriller where Norton plays a convicted arsonist and De Niro plays the man who gets seduced by a convicted arsonist’s wife.
Al Pacino Acquires Little Man Complex, Signs on as Napoleon
In Development By Neil Miller on April 8, 2009 | Comments (6)For some reason, Al Pacino has long been interested in playing the role of Napoleon Bonaparte of France, the infamous French Emperor who nearly conquered the world. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that they’re both 5′ 7″.
Keira Knightley is ‘Damned,’ As is Director John Curran
In Development By Robin Ruinsky on January 6, 2009 | Comments (14)The golden couple of the Jazz Age, Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald looked great from a distance. But zoom in closer and the cracks began to show. She was a schizophrenic and he was an alcoholic. Their story will be told in the film The Beautiful and the Damned with director John Curran, The Painted Veil, at the helm.
