I am aware that I already posted the bootleg version of the Watchmen footage from this week’s Spike TV Scream Awards, but I cannot resist the urge to publish it again now that we’ve received the high resolution version.

What I really mean by that title is that last night’s Spike TV 2008 Scream Awards featured and extended trailer for Zack Snyder’s much anticipated film Watchmen.

When I saw his face in the novel, I said to myself “Jackie Earle Haley is going to play this guy? Really?” He’s a perfect height for the character, but beyond that I just couldn’t fathom it.

I have a feeling that between now and March 6, 2009, the day Zack Snyder’s Watchmen hits theaters, I will run out of puns related to the word watch.

It looks like the Holy Grail of comic/film adaptations is finally moving in the right direction: towards actually being completed.
