Eight Summer Movies That Are Sure to Suck Ass

For every Iron Man, there is a Made of Honor. And this summer is going to be filled with crap as much as it will be filled with awesomeness. So, in an effort to protect the moviegoing public, here’s my cautionary list of eight summer movies that are sure to suck ass.

Tropic Thunder

Tropic Thunder

A few days ago we showed you a still from the upcoming Ben Stiller comedy Tropic Thunder. Today, we bring you the first teaser. I thought the movie sounded interesting, but part of me was expecting a complete and total disaster. The film follows the exploits of a handful of actors creating a Vietnam movie. When the director tires of their antics, he leaves them behind in the jungle to fend for themselves. In the words of Martin Lawrence, Shit just got real. The trailer, which absurdly requires age verification, has laid some of my fears to rest. It looks really funny to me. We get a lot of explosions and screaming, tons of bullets fired, and the characters all look hilarious. Obviously black Robert Downey Jr. looks funny, but so does blond Jack Black, and Ben Stiller in rage mode is always good for a laugh. Tropic Thunder will blow shit up in a theater near you on 8.15.08. View the trailer on the Official Site

You could probably spell out the infinite ways that “Be Kind, _____” has been used all over the internet since this trailer was released by Yahoo Movies. The trailer is for Michel Gondry’s BE KIND, REWIND which stars Jack Black and Mos Def and video store clerks who erase a bunch of movies and have to remake them. In remaking films like GHOSTBUSTERS and ROBOCOP, they start something of a movement.
