The big question is: Is I Am Legend good enough to stand on it’s own? The answer is yes.

This is the week former TV star Will Smith of Fresh Prince of Bel Air fame turns up on screen again in the much-anticipated I Am Legend.

Will Smith stars in the third try at a big screen adaptation of Richard Matheson’s famous novel. This time, at least they got to use the right title.

At a press conference in Tokyo, actor Will Smith inadvertently revealed some of the plot of I Am Legend to the Japanese press.

It’s a good thing the WGA strike hasn’t shut down the post-department, as reports are saying that the anticipated I Am Legend was reshooting as late as last week.

Yesterday I reported that the trailer for Will Smith’s upcoming blockbuster I Am Legend was leaked online and subsequently strewn about all over the blogosphere. It turns out that I was wrong, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to my ex-girlfriend. What will come as a surprise to both my ex-girlfriend and the rest of you is that I am here to make amends.

Earlier today I received a press release from the fine folks at Warner Brothers stating that there was a new trailer for I Am Legend that was being released on MySpace tonight around midnight. Of course as these things go, the trailer had no intention of waiting until this evening to find its way onto the web.

The good news is that we won’t have to wait much longer to see some actual footage of Heath Ledger in action as The Joker. The not so good news is that we are going to have to pay a little extra to see it.
