This week I am pleased to bring you the most epic Blu-ray report in the history of my musings about the format. As you may have noted, I’ve taken the past two weeks off and have missed quite a few titles. So I’m playing catch up.

Rob Hunter loves movies. He also loves signing up for random medical trials and psychological experiments. These two joys come together in the form of cash money payments that he receives every week and immediately uses to buy more DVD’s.

I just don’t buy the fact that studios can’t afford to hold early screenings for their films. Suck it up, Hollywood. Quit hiding behind the excuse of the economy for trying to control the press.

Not only was Friday the 13th a hit, it was a big hit. $42 million smackeroos for Jason Voorhees and the rest of them. What’s more, this whole weekend is going to set a President’s Day weekend record!

I know some box-office pundits will say in their copy “audiences just aren’t that into The Pink Panther 2.” Are you kidding me? Audiences were more than “just” not into this movie — they were really in no mood to see it.

Yet another film riles me up enough to warrant sending an open letter to the people responsible. It turns out you can’t watch stereotypes whine about being gorgeously single for over two hours. Who knew?

Neil finally returns to the Magical Studio in the Sky with stories from the land of milk and honey, otherwise known as the Sundance Film Festival. Kevin celebrates the return by berating him for only seeing one movie this week, although Neil defends himself because he saw 143 movies at the festival.

I dunno what to make of the lineup this weekend. To be honest, I’m just not that into the weekend’s movies. If you’re a fanboy, you probably won’t be too thrilled either.
