It is time once again for the FSR Year in Review, our annual week of lists and recaps, counting down the very best in film for the year. We begin our quest with the place where most cinematic journeys start, with a great movie poster.

Enough, already. I don’t have a problem with male nudity, but this is getting to be a bit much.

Brian Gibson loves to buy DVDs. Come with him on his weekly journey into the depths of credit card debt as he tells you what to buy, rent and avoid.

Sure, they may have both hit stores today, but why would you want to buy something that we might give you for free?

After a brief trip into a Gitmo jail cell, robert Fure asks the burning questions to John Cho and Kal Penn, like will we see more wang in the special features and what the guys think the plot of Harold and Kumar 3 should be.

Welcome to FSR’s newest weekly feature in which I break down the good, the bad, and the ugly of what Hollywood has to offer.

What can I say? It was another winning performance at the box office for Tina Fey as Baby Mama won with an $18 million gross. And as usual, it was another losing performance at the theaters for Harold and Kumar, whose Escape from Guantanamo Bay wound up trailing in second with $14.5 million. But don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll do well on DVD.

I suppose you can say that the core Harold and Kumar audience of stoners and slackers will enjoy the rude humor and drug references, but the rest of us clean and sober folks are going to be left cold.

Neil Patrick Harris demands that you pay this game in some form. And who can argue with NPH? Surely not us mere mortals.

This weekend looks to be a bit of a disappointment at the cash register, I am sad to say. All the die-hard movie fans out there would really like to see Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay do well, but it has stiff competition from Baby Mama and from Deception, the other new movies this weekend.

After a botched flight to Amsterdam, Kevin and Neil are sent to Guantanamo Bay… then escape back to the Magical Studio in the Sky.

We may have missed our stride last week with the Who’s That Hottie column, but I am back with a vengeance this week — and back with a smoking hot lady for all of you gentleman (and some ladies) out there.

These days it seems like if you can’t express it on a t-shirt, its not even worth talking about.
