Last night Entertainment Tonight aired a 10-second clip from the G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra commercial that will run this weekend during the Superbowl, and of course it has made its way online.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse for the production of Stephen Sommers’ G.I. Joe movie… this happens. For all of you who still think that hope is not lost, prepare to let it slip away…

The more I see and hear about the upcoming live-action G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie the more I think it’s actually an unofficial sequel to the 1982 classic Megaforce.

We recently got some fresh word from Brendan Fraser on just what exactly he’ll be doing in Stephen Sommers’ upcoming GI Joe flick.

Recent marketing materials — both official and otherwise — from two of Paramount Pictures’ highest profile 2009 movies tell us one thing: they are really into the whole black and white poster aesthetic.

Alright people, now I know that some of you might be excited for this G.I. JOE movie, but when you see these new pictures from the set, you might just change your mind.

We usually don’t drop Officially Cool stuff on you on Sundays, as we figure you need a day of rest from all of the awesomeness that we usually provide, but this is one of those things that we just couldn’t pass up.
