Something about this GI Joe movie has got Robert Fure past his boiling point – but it’s not what you think it is.

The time has come — and in the case of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, seeing it for yourself is half the battle.

I always find it odd when people whine and complain and bash a movie before it appears for months on end, and then suddenly everyone has a big change of heart at the last minute and sees it. Such is G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra.

If you don’t know GI Joe before going into this weekend’s release, then you’ve already lost. Because knowing is half the battle and what not. But you already knew that, right?

I have this to say to all you people out there who spent hundreds of millions of dollars on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and claimed you loved the action and effects. All I have to say to you is simply this: see you all at G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

The summer’s almost over, and so far it’s been an incredibly mixed bag movie-wise.

Well, why don’t we just officially come out and say it, now? “Summer season at the movies has been crap!” Okay, maybe it really hasn’t been that bad, but it sure feels that way to some people.

Paramount Pictures has released the full press kit for next week’s release of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Included in said press kit was 28 high resolution photos from the film and the production.

A new extended TV trailer and several new character posters have begun to emerge today for Paramount’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. And I stand by my assessment that this film could very well turn out to be fun.

In an astonishing turn of events, the ice cream truck just drove by and they had Tutti Frutti! They NEVER have Tutti Frutti! Oh, and apparently that G. I. Joe story isn’t true. Or is. It’s really tough to tell anymore.

MTV has debuted a brand new 45-second clip from Paramount’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra this week in anticipation of tonight’s MTV Movie Awards, where an extended clip will be shown alongside clips from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Twilight: New Moon and others.

The folks at Empire have unleashed the first international poster for Paramount’s upcoming toy line adaptation G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, and to say the least it is certainly a tale of two colors.

I’m still all over the place when it comes to the upcoming big kid action movie G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra. Of course, this new trailer isn’t helping me lean one way or another.

As you know, summer movie season doesn’t officially start until we say it does. And we can’t say that it is on until we’ve run down the must see movies in one of our world famous lists. So come on in people, lets get it on.

Just days after we questioned whether or not Stephen Sommers had been replaced by a class of 3rd graders in the director’s chair for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, and mere hours after we saw the first 10-second glimpse of the movie, our friends at Coming Soon come knocking with the full 30-second Superbowl teaser. And all signs are currently pointing toward: “Hey wait, this looks kinda fun.”
