Another week, another round of dollars to be spent here on This Week in Blu-ray. And just like last week, there are a few movies worth buying.

Variety is reporting today that The King of Kong and Four Christmases director Seth Gordon’s next project, a comedy entitled Mr. Romance, has been optioned by New Regency. And upon doing some investigation into the matter, I found this to be a very interesting project.

Yet another easy weekend for those predicting the first place finisher at the box office. Everyone is saying The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008 remake) is going to win. The only question is by how much.

The order of finish this weekend at the box office looked very much like last weekend at the box office, with Four Christmases winning again with $18 million.

It sure doesn’t look like you’ll be dodging too many crowds to see too many new movies this weekend — everyone’s started Christmas shopping.
