According to Critics, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Demolishes Expectations

He knocked The Dark Knight out of the park (and out of the city limits), so the anticipation and expectations for the follow-up seemed so high that it was difficult to imagine anyone leaping over the bar. But this is Nolan – a director who should get his own Wheaties box. Audiences still have a while to wait before passing judgment, but early reviews are in, and the consensus is that the film demolishes those high expectations along with Gotham.
