It should be a cause for celebration any time horror legend Joe Dante gets a chance to bring his unique blend of chills and chuckles to a new project. Over the course of his lengthy and awesome career this guy has brought us gems like The Howling, Gremlins, The ‘burbs, and Eerie, Indiana, and though he still stays busy keeping the horror love alive over at Trailers From Hell, it’s a shame that we haven’t been able to see more feature work from him over the last decade or so. Heck, his latest film, The Hole, sat on the shelf for three years before most of us even got the chance to watch it. That’s just not enough Joe Dante. The world cries out for more. Good news! Ask and you shall receive. New Films Cinema has announced [via ComingSoon] that filming is scheduled to start soon on a new project they’ve put together for Dante called Air Disturbance. Taking place on a transcontinental flight between Los Angeles and Toronto, Air Disturbance tells the tale of a recently widowed man who must protect his children and the other passengers on a plane once the aircraft starts becoming affected by strange atmospheric phenomena.

This week, Fat Guy Kevin Carr horses around this week with the legendary racehorse from the 1970s, hoping he too can go home with Diane Lane. After racing out to see Secretariat, he wonders if Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel would be anything more than a pretty couple. Then he gets down on his knees and prays: “Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I beg you skip My Soul to Take.”.

As the year winds down to a close and with award season is already underway, everyone is looking back on all the fine performances in cinema over 2009. But to truly recall all the great performances, we have to slag through some pretty awful ones.

Meanwhile, Allegra Calderello, aka “Pussy Lips”, returns to McNamara/Troy seeking a physical remodel at the request of her dying husband.

Sean’s journey of chemically induced discovery leads him to realise that while he can’t completely let go of his cautious nature, there is a midway point between his approach and Teddy’s. Christian receives bad news, prompting an emotional plea and an unexpected request.

The newest addition to McNamara/Troy proves herself quite the troublemaker and even brings out the nastier side of Sean, who is struggling with the idea of his own life story being filmed as an Aidan Stone feature.

Christian regains his mojo after his reconstructive surgery, breaking Liz’s heart & causing her to abandon her life in Los Angeles.

Sean learns Julia is planning to move to New York. A familiar evil face reworks history to torment the living, before disappearing in a cloud. Meanwhile, Liz questions her sexuality after her night with Christian.

Christian struggles through breast cancer with Liz at his side, and Sean’s secret is finally revealed.

Colleen’s attack on Sean leaves him with long term injuries, not to mention psychological scars. Liz’s decision to get a breast reduction results in Christian requiring a mastectomy.

“Just Add Water” follows Ray Tuckby (Dylan Walsh of Nip/Tuck) as his life falls apart and he’s reborn from the ashes in this off-beat indie comedy.
